Every electrician has been given something valuable by God — talent. Some can fault-find faster than others. Some can wire with precision. Some can lead teams, solve complex problems, build businesses, or teach others. These talents are gifts from God. 🎁
But today, let’s talk about something even greater:
Your talent is not your calling.
God may have given you the talent to work with your hands, understand electrical systems, and light up homes, factories, and communities. But your calling goes beyond what you do — it speaks to who you are meant to become and how you are meant to live.
An electrician can have incredible skill but still miss his purpose.
Your calling is found in your character. It is found in integrity when nobody is watching. It is found in honesty when shortcuts seem easier. It is found in serving people well, protecting families through safe workmanship, lifting others up, encouraging your team, and representing Christ in the workplace.
Talent may build a career.
Calling builds a life.
Many people chase talent because talent gets recognition. Talent gets applause. Talent gets business opportunities.
But calling gives something deeper:
✨ Purpose.
✨ Direction.
✨ Meaning.
The Bible reminds us:
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33
God never asked us to place success first.
He asked us to place Him first.
Your ability to be an electrician is a gift.
But your calling is to live for something bigger while using that gift.
Maybe your calling is to encourage younger electricians.
Maybe it is to lead your family well.
Maybe it is to build an honest business that changes lives.
Maybe it is simply to reflect Christ wherever you go.
Your tools matter.
Your skills matter.
But your calling matters most.
Because one day people may forget how skilled you were.
But they will remember how you lived.
⚡ This week, do not only pursue excellence in your trade. Pursue excellence in your calling. Put God first, and let your talent become a tool that serves your purpose.
Talent may take you far. Calling keeps you on the right road. 🙏🔥
